The Salesforce Specialist designs, codes and implements Salesforce customized solutions that meets the changing needs of the Company. We are looking for an individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform. The Salesforce instance is of great importance to Viamericas, therefore the candidate should keep the wider organization's best interests in mind when composing and deploying any code. Duties and Responsabilities: Collaborate with the Salesforce Product Owner to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits). Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform in coordination with Viamericas Development Team and BI Team. Test the stability and functionality of the application. Troubleshoot and fix bugs. Develop Apex (classes and triggers) & Lightning Components to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements. Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and codes. Strive towards coding best practices and data quality. Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the Company. Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development. Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code. Minimum Qualifications: Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5 years of Salesforce development experience. Proficient in Relational Databases (ideally MS SQL Server) & Apex. Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I. Competency in other languages / development (NET Core, JS, RESTful Web Services). Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members. Experience developing customer-facing interfaces. Good communication skills. Able to work independently, Ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues. Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues. Experience implementing and developing in Apex, Visualforce, and Java. A proactive attitude toward Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices. Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications. Experience working with large data sets and bulkification. Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders. Experience running code in Cloud environments; preferably AWS with serverless technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer. Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience. Demonstrates continued personal/professional development. Active in the Salesforce community.
